Hello, tonight I would like to share with you a simple lip-sync test I've just completed. I know he doesn't resemble Clint  but he was designed for a more complex dialogue sequence, I wanted to do a few test animations first  to make sure that the mouth designs were working well.

While working on a few concept ideas I usually take a few to a more completed look, so I can get a feel for the way the character looks and feels on screen, This is a character I named Eugene. He is part of the crew on a fictional spaceship, he may evolve more as we move forward, but here is a walk cycle I did for him. He was hand drawn, imported into flash where I traced him out  using the line tool and added color.

Here is a video of the walk cycle, I used snag-it to capture the swf.

Hello, I've been working on a version of the turtle hiding inside his shell, its not ready to post yet, but I do have a "Pre-Loader" animation I completed a while back. I had purchased a book by Chris Georgenes and Justin Putney "Animation with scripting for Flash Professional CS5". I'm currently working through it and have found this book to very informative and well worth the read. (I used snag-it to video capture the swf).

Hi, I'm Chuck Carson, Welcome to "The Animated Pencil" Blog, here I will be adding various animations I've been working on and sometimes talk about the process I use to create the work u will see here. Today I would like to introduce you to a Turtle I created for a project I've been working on, this image was sketched by hand and then imported into illustrator where I inked it, above is the final line art image.

I imported the line art into flash, since I had decided to do the animation in flash I went ahead and added the color there as well, the above image is the final color I went with.

I created a basic walk cycle in flash, this is how it turned out. I'll be using this turtle for various situations in the project, so I'll be posting more animations or looks for him as we move forward.
